My heart is so full remembering this destination wedding in Italy of Andrea and Carl. These two gathered their loved ones from all over the world to celebrate their destination wedding amongst the vinyards of Friuli Venezia Giulia at Castello di Spessa. The garden of this Italian wine resort was the perfect setting for a late afternoon outdoor ceremony in the shade under the trees. A late ceremony is absolutely recommended in countries like Italy or Spain as not only is it way too hot around noon, but also the light to shoot a wedding outdoor is much more beautiful. And let’s be honest – who wants to get up early on their wedding day but rather have a relaxed breakfast together with their family and friends? This is what I call “dolce vita”!
The terrace of the castle served as the backdrop for the gorgeous outdoor dinner setting on a long table. I loved this wedding for its relaxed, yet smooth transitions thanks to the Italian wedding planner team of www.weddingitaly.com The romantic yet bohemian bridal gown was of course from Rue De Seine.
Andrea and Carl wanted their wedding to be documented in a way that allows them to relieve the whole story over and over again. As their wedding photographer I arrived a day earlier to make myself familiar with the huge wine resort and met them at the relaxed get-together. Specializing in full day weddings, I was able to tell their story from the beginning to the party (which lasted long after I went to bed ;-))
